Welcome to St. David's
Not every one who finds their way to St. David’s and
much less to this website is a Christian or expected to be.
You are nevertheless welcome to our church. We are here to
answer any question you might have about the Christian
faith or about our church.
You Are Not Alone
We all live in a very complex and fast changing world that
has the potential of making any of us feel isolated and
alone. Sometimes we think that all of us live at such a
fast pace that we never truly relax enough to enjoy life
and one another. We are neighbors and yet at times we
don’t know each other. We want to assure you that you
are not alone, we are within your reach.
- Maybe you’re not from Southern California and
are here alone pursuing your dreams. Perhaps trying to
break into the film industry. We understand how difficult
and lonely that can be. St. David’s has many young
people like yourself.
- Maybe you’re a college student at one of our
many great universities and colleges and find yourself
alone, away from family and friends. Perhaps you grew up
in the church but now find yourself questioning what you
believe. Come and be refreshed.
- Maybe you’re a single mom who put in a full day
at the office; regretting that you have little time for
your children; regretting that you have no time for
yourself. Join our family.
- Maybe you’re a recently married couple looking
for a church where you can begin your new life and where
you can raise a family. Come meet other newlyweds.
- Maybe you’re new parents and have awakened to a
new sense of responsibility and a new vision of the
future. Perhaps it is time to think of Christian
instruction for your family. Join us as we care for
children and adults alike.
- Maybe you’re lonely because you’ve hit bottom, or because you find yourself more outwardly and visibly successful than you ever dreamed. Make friends.
The bottom line is that life is not always easy, but you are not alone.
How Are Christians Different?
Perhaps we are not as different as you would imagine or
think we would claim to be. We live in that same world
– complex and fast and lonesome. We share many of the
same struggles and difficulties you face. We have questions
as well and at times are away from our families and our
childhood friends. But, we have come to know that we are
not alone. We know that God is always with us, as a loving
and caring Father. We know that we are part of a much more
extended family, the family of God’s children all
over the world. This knowledge is what gives us faith and
hope and certainty. The same faith and hope and certainty
that God offers you.
What Do Christians Believe?
We believe that all of the questions of life find an answer
in God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has
revealed Himself to the world as a God of love, compassion
and moral integrity. He has demonstrated His great love for
the human race in giving His only Son Jesus that through
Him we might receive life eternal. We believe that part of
this self revelation of God is found in the pages of the
Bible. The Bible is a map to the presence of our Father, a
map to be followed to receive abundant life here and now,
for this life and for eternity.

You are welcome at St. David’s. Come, let us learn
together, share life together, struggle together and reach
victories together. You are not alone. We are here for you
and God is with us. We want you to know that God loves you
just where you are and He is ready to meet you and give you
